Daily staff report
Vail, CO Colorado

VAIL, Colorado ” Free skier and snowboarder parking is now available at Donovan Park in Vail, Colorado on days the building is not in use.

The 70-plus spaces, located at 1600 South Frontage Rd., will be open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. The parking will be closed to skiers on days that there are Pavilion events, and a sign will be posted showing the availability.

Donovan Pavilion is typically booked 30 days during the winter season. No placards or hang tags are needed to gain access to the lot.

Skiers and snowboarders can catch a bus at the Matterhorn bus stop, which is located west of the park at the intersection of Matterhorn Circle and West Gore Creek Drive. The West Vail Red bus, which goes to Lionshead and Vail Village, stops there on the hour and half hour.

Free parking on the South Frontage Road is allowed only after the Vail Village and Lionshead parking structures have been filled, which has happened six times so far this season.
