Daily Staff Report
Special to the DailyMilwaukee-based The Westfall stops the Idle Goat Tour at Half Moon Saloon in West Vail for a free show.

Formed out of the ashes of a mid-’90s rock ‘n’ roll daydream, The Westfall’s music is a trip down genre-busting lane. Fusing styles that span the musical map – but reside mostly in the groove-jazz fusion arena – The Westfall strives to be more than the sum of its parts. They play a free show at Half Moon Saloon in West Vail at 10 p.m.

The trio, formed six years ago, has one definite goal: to lay freshness on thirsty ears. The Milwaukee-based band includes Kris Crow (keyboards), Matt Turner (bass) and Jeremy Kuzniar (drums/percussion).

They’ve shared the stage with Robert Walter’s 20th Congress, Melvin Sparks, Merl Saunders, The New Deal and Keller Williams, among others.

Late 2003 marked the beginning of their non-stop tour in support of their debut compact disc, “The Dirty Pony.” They travel to Vail on their Idle Goat Tour. For more information call the Moon at 476-4314.
