Free tutoring offered in Avon

AVON, Colorado ” Free math and reading tutoring will be offered to help meet the educational needs of underserved elementary age children.

The tutoring is part of “Something Fun Summer Camp” at Avon Elementary School through Tutor Train.

Tutor Train offers after school programs at public, private, charter and home schools. It offers instruction on many levels including: English language literacy, special needs, and at-risk students.



Director and owner Eric Ursich said he is excited to expand the program, which is also offered in Arvada, to serve the valley.

Tutor Train has been helping educators and parents achieve successful results with students in the high country communities in Colorado for the past five years, he said.

Several area businesses are helping bring the program to Avon.

“The Vail Valley community came out to support this important summer educational enrichment program,” said Sandra Burner, Vail Valley Area Director. “Five local businesses generously donated a total of $2400 to help make this program available to over 120 area elementary students for a 10 week summer program.”
