Free Vail Bluegrass Series show set for Wednesday evening in Lionshead

Today's Vail Summer Bluegrass Series performance will be nothing short of a hoot. Roosevelt Collier, pedal steel guitarist and bass player extraordinaire and Oteil Burbridge (formerly of the Allman Brothers), both pictured here, will be joined by Andy Thorn and Alwyn Robinson (Leftover Salmon) and local Rob Eaton Jr. Opening duties will be provided by the Old Town Pickers out of Steamboat. The Vail Summer Bluegrass Series is scheduled to take place at the Arrabelle at Vail Square at 6 p.m., rain or shine.

Wednesday’s Vail Summer Bluegrass Series performance at the Arrabelle at Vail Square at 6 p.m., rain or shine, will be nothing short of a hoot. Roosevelt Collier, pedal steel guitarist and bass player extraordinaire, and Oteil Burbridge (formerly of the Allman Brothers), both pictured here, will be joined by Andy Thorn and Alwyn Robinson, of Leftover Salmon, and local Rob Eaton Jr. Opening duties will be provided by the Old Town Pickers out of Steamboat. Fans will be treated to a special acoustic set at the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens at 1 p.m. today and can get another layer of fulfillment at Shakedown Bar for the official after-party featuring Collier and Burbridge.
