Fresh Approach Club presents ‘3 Meals, 5 Ingredients’ in Edwards

The Eagle County Schools Fresh Approach Club is teaming up with Jacqui Slavin, D.C. of Functional Wellness in Avon and the Colorado Mountain College Culinary Institute to present a cooking demonstration from 5:45 to 7 p.m. on March 28 at Battle Mountain High School for $10, with proceeds benefiting the Fresh Approach program.

Slavin will demonstrate how five basic and readily available ingredients can be used to create three distinct and nutritious meals. She’ll also discuss ways to modify each meal to meet a variety of dietary needs or add a few more ingredients for variety and heartiness while still satisfying your taste buds. Finally, attendees will get to sample all the foods made that evening and receive informational handouts and recipes.

Reservations are required for the event due to limited seating. Email freshapproach@eagleschools.net to guarantee your seat.
