Fridays at the Park start in Beaver Creek
BEAVER CREEK, Colorado – Fridays at the Park return for the fourth year to the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort & Spa on Friday and every Friday until Aug. 14. Fridays at the Park is a free summer program full of music, activities and entertainment for the entire family. The activities, from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., take place on the slopes behind the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek. New this year, is a “going green” theme each week. On Friday, Park Hyatt will be hosting a “recycle day.” Guests are encouraged to bring in plastic bags and household alkaline batteries for the resort to recycle. Other green themes include a visit from the Gore Range Natural Science School; a lesson on compostin; a back-to-school clothing drive benefiting the Bright Future Foundation; a safety day with Eagle County Sheriff’s Office and Eagle River Fire Protection; and a food drive to benefit the Salvation Army. The Park Hyatt’s gourmet s’moregasbord is open at the fire pit for a gooey treat. This year, there are free rides on the Buckaroo Express Gondola behind the Park Hyatt and a visit from a restored 1941 fire engine. 8100 Mountainside Bar & Grill, the new restaurant located in the Park Hyatt, is offering a 50 percent discount on all entrees during Fridays at the Park.
