EDWARDS — Dogma Athletica will host a special yoga workshop opportunity on Friday. Well-known Front Range yoga teacher Valerie D’Ambrosio is coming to Vail to host a rockin’ 90-minute yoga class.

D’Ambrosio is the co-founder of the annual Hanuman Yoga Festival that takes place in Boulder. Through her work as a connection coach and yoga instructor, D’Ambrosio guides individuals to communicate with the physical, emotional and spiritual body. Dogma Athletica’s owner, Rod Connolly, is thrilled to have D’Ambrosio teaching at the studio.

“Valerie is a teacher of the practice in the truest sense,” he said. “She will challenge you, but also support you in your efforts.”

This 90-minute, all-levels class will focus on alignment and dive deep into breath work and making personal advancements. There will be plenty of opportunities to increase the difficulty for those who crave more. However, many modifications will be provided for those looking to master foundational yoga tools.

D’Ambrosio has taught workshops across the globe. She brings an inclusive, international perspective to her teachings and she hopes to help individuals become more connected to the wisdom of their bodies and the innate guidance that lies within.

Participate in The Longevity Project

The Longevity Project is an annual campaign to help educate readers about what it takes to live a long, fulfilling life in our valley. This year Kevin shares his story of hope and celebration of life with his presentation Cracked, Not Broken as we explore the critical and relevant topic of mental health.

Connolly suggests that a powerful yoga class can actually transform you.

“When you have an amazing class, like the kind Valerie teaches, it’s possible to actualize physical breakthroughs,” he said. “A pose becomes accessible to you for the first time or perhaps you are able to fall deeper into a moment of meditation. I believe this is just as important for cognitive and emotional well-being as adequate sleep and proper nutrition.”

This special practice is offered at the price of $35 for non-members and $25 for members of Dogma Athletica. Sign up in advance for this special practice since space is limited to 35 participants. For questions, call 970-688-4433 or email
