Vail, CO Colorado

VAIL, Colorado “-Two men drove off with a free tank of gas on March 29 from the West Vail, Colorado Shell and haven’t been caught, according to the police report.

The employee of the gas station said that the two men pulled up in a silver sedan, and one of them came inside the store while the other pumped gas. The one who went inside, described as a black man with 8-inch dreadlocks wearing a red hat, asked to use the bathroom and to put $4 on the pump outside. The clerk told him that his friend pumping gas had already put in more than $20 worth of gas and he’d have to come in and pay when he was done.

The man went outside and the two drove off, the employee said.

Police searched the area for a car that matched the description but didn’t come up with anything. They closed the case.

The gas station attendant said the duo made off with nearly $30 worth of gas.
