VAIL — Galerie Zuger in Vail Village will welcome back Britten for artist receptions from 3 to 7 p.m. today and Saturday.
Britten’s creativity mirrors an internal landscape of emotion inspired by the open spaces of Colorado. For Britten, “painting is a medium of universal communication.” Within each piece, an emotion is captured and translated directly from the source. Her style and layering technique gives her pieces a luminous quality that range from a peaceful ethereal feeling to a vibrant joy.
‘Keep it pure’
Britten paints with the skill and aesthetic sensitivity acquired from experience and exploration. Not always knowing what will end up on the canvas, Britten allows her materials and brushstrokes to take on a life of their own, trusting them like lifelong friends. Her only intention is to “keep it pure. Light bounces and reflects, creating a path to follow.”
Galerie Zuger is located on the second level of the Solaris Plaza in Vail Village. For more information, call 970-476-5619 or visit http://www.galerie zugervail.com.
