Gallegos yard sale to benefit Habitat for Humanity in Vail Valley
VAIL VALLEY, Colorado Battle Mountain High School contractor Adolfson & Peterson Construction ended up with excess building materials from the construction of the new Vail Valley school in Edwards. The company donated pallets of heavy block and stone to Habitat for Humanitys Home Outlet in Gypsum. Habitats challenge was how to physically move the large quantity of materials and to determine where to display the 10 to 12 truckloads of pallets in order to sell them to the community. Requests for help were made throughout the valley to many local organizations and Gallegos Corporation came up with the solution. Gallegos Corp. donated trucks, fuel and employees to transport more than nine truckloads of materials to its stone yard on Spring Creek Road in Gypsum, where they will sell the materials on behalf of Habitat for Humanity during the companys annual yard sale Saturday. The yard sale sells inventory for up to 75 percent off moss rock, stone pavers, sandstone, cobblestone and boulders. Everyone in the community is welcome to take advantage of the discounts and to support Habitat for Humanity.Gallegos Stone Yard Sale is Saturday, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information about the Gallegos Stone Sale, call 970-524-4322, or visit the stone yard, one mile up on Spring Creek Road across from the main airport entrance in Gypsum. For more information about the Habitat Home Outlet, call 970-524-0669 or e-mail email@example.com.
