Gardening workshop is Thursday in Eagle

EAGLE, Colorado – A workshop Thursday in Eagle, Colorado will offer some tricks to putting your garden to bed for the winter.

Brook Le Van, director of sustainable settings of Carbondale, will be in Eagle to present a fall organic gardening workshop. Brook was here in May and shared his gardening knowledge and expertise with over 50 people. His spring talk helped get gardens up and thriving. The fall presentation will enable gardeners to properly bed their beds for the winter so the soil will be in good shape come spring.

Topics will include:

• Putting the vegetable garden to bed.

• Soil building for springtime.

• Seed saving.

The workshop is Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at theEagle County Administration Building in the Eagle County Room. The cost is $10 per person. Proceeds support The Brush Creek Park Community Gardens.
