Daily Staff Report

The Space

With TVs all over, there isn’t a seat in the this long, narrow restaurant where you can’t watch the big game. Among the random, funky signs on the walls, the goofy pictures that make up the “Wall of Shame” feature staff members and regulars. This sports bar’s all about fun and a great place to take the kids. The best part? The large wood deck with a view of the wide-open green mountain.

The Food

Since this joint’s packed with skiers all the winter long, the kitchen staff uses the relaxed off season to get creative and update their six-page winter menu. This summer, they’ve whipped up a fajita salad with chicken, beef or grilled mahi mahi, marinated with lemon and served in fan-shaped, fried shell. Ingredients come in daily, so the food is always fresh.

The Drinks

Bar Manager Clara has been busy perfecting her coconut milk mojitos to add to the three other types of mojitos the bar offers. If you’re in the mood for something more traditional, you’re in luck–a free bottle of wine comes with any two entrees.

Gotta Try

The Pesto Chicken is a generous portion of fetuccini with fresh bell peppers and parmesan, loaded with flavorful chicken and served with fluffy focaccia bread. For a lighter fare, order the Stuffed Chicken Breast, medallions of chicken stuffed with asparagus and garnished with cheese and marinara sauce. 4

Of course there’s pool and foosball in the back, but if you want something different, ask for the PlayStation 2 menu. Sit at the bar and play away.
