Gary Clark Jr. joins Whistle Pig Vail concert series lineup
Tickets will be available for purchase on Friday
Vail Valley Foundation has announced that musician Gary Clark Jr. will perform as part of the Whistle Pig Vail concert series. He’ll play at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater on Thursday, Sept. 5. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m., and prices will range from $69.50–$114.
Clark Jr. is known for his blues, rock, soul and R&B. After spending the last five years performing for audiences from the California desert to the London metropolis, acquiring fans like Barack Obama, Keith Richards, Alicia Keys and Beyonce along the way, Clark Jr. will bring his music to Vail audiences as part of the Whistle Pig Vail concerts.
Whistle Pig Vail is a ticketed concert series entering its second season and still filling out the lineup for the summer. In its first season, the concert series brought 311, Dispatch, The Jerry Garcia Band and Robert Plant.
Mountainfilm On Tour brings 10 documentary shorts, focusing on equity, to two local high schools and two local movie theaters. “Brotherhood Of Skiing,” for example, is about African Americans who love skiing and want to pass that love to the next generation.
