Gather on the river July 31 in Eagle County
EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado – YarmonyGrass returns to its roots on the Colorado River with two nights of music July 31 and Saturday August 1 at Rancho Del Rio in Eagle County.Growing from the ashes of the State Bridge fire in June 2007, the event moved to Copper Mountain last August and endured extreme weather to pull off one of the best weekends of 2008.Now YarmonyGrass presents “Gathering on the River,” a relaxed and intimate outdoor festival on the banks of the Colorado River headline by Nailhouse, and also featuring Todd Sheaffer & Friends (from Railroad Earth), Greensky Bluegrass, Bill Nershi and Drew Emmitt.Newcomers Nailhouse are Keith Moseley on bass (String Cheese Incident), Jeff Sipe on drums (Leftover Salmon, Jimmy Herring Band), and Scott Law (Honkytonk Homeslice, Hanuman) and Gibb Droll (Keller Williams, Marc Broussard) on dueling electric guitars. The location of the festival means camping, fishing and hiking. Take time out from the music on Saturday afternoon to float with your friends down to historic State Bridge for live music and drinks at the Happy Hour Revival, then head back to camp for the main event.A limited number of tickets will be sold. Two-day passes for $79 are already sold-out, but a limited number will be released to Eagle County residents. To get the local’s special pass, visit http://www.yarmonygrass.com.
