EAGLE ” Building or buying a green home can be a confusing venture, but Traci D’Alessio with the group Built Green in Denver may be able to help you sort it out.
She’ll be presenting today from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Brush Creek Pavilion in Eagle. Admission is free for members of the Eagle Valley Alliance for Sustainability and $5 for non members.
Built Green is a program of the Denver Metro Home Builders Association and is the largest green home building program in the nation., said Matt Scherr, executive director of the Eagle Valley Alliance for Sustainability.
“It’s like a roadmap, tells you what places you can consider, material choices, mechanical systems, everything involved with green building,” Scherr said.
The cornerstone of the Built Green program is a comprehensive checklist of requirements that builders must meet to be certified as Green Built.
