Get money for green insulation

EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado ” Homeowners who upgrade to more energy efficient insulation can get rebates of up to $500.
The program, which will rebate homeowners 50 percent of their costs, is being run by Eagle County and the Colorado Governor’s Energy Office. Homeowners must have a registered local insulation contractors do the work. They also must provide an invoice for the work and an estimate of the money they will save on energy bills.

Only homeowners who install insulation after April 22, 2008 are eligible for the rebate. The offer expires Dec. 31.
The incentive programs are available to new or existing homes in unincorporated Eagle County including El Jebel and Edwards, as well as homes in Vail, Avon, Eagle, Gypsum, Minturn, Red Cliff, and Basalt.
