Daily staff report
Vail, CO Colorado

VAIL VALLEY, Colorado – Calvary Chapel Vail Valley is preparing to serve as a collection point for Operation Christmas Child from Monday through Nov. 22.

Through Operation Christmas Child, the world’s largest Christmas project, Vail Valley residents will help send shoe box gifts this year to more than 8 million children in 100 countries suffering from natural disaster, war, terrorism, disease, famine and poverty. From Edwards, the shoebox gifts will be sorted and sent using whatever means necessary – sea containers, trucks, trains, airplanes, boats, camels, even dog sleds – to reach children around the world.

The local collection site is at Calvary Chapel Vail Valley, 31621 Highway 6, Edwards. The phone number is 970-926-3880.
