Gifted team hosts talk by counselor

EAGLE COUNTY – The Gifted Education Team of Eagle County is hosting a talk by Dr. Jana Waters titled “The Young Gifted Child: Identification and Support from Home and School.” on October The presentation is Monday from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Berry Creek Middle School in Edwards. Waters will discuss a variety of topics including determining whether a child is gifted, the pros and cons of early testing, and how to get support at home and in school. Waters has worked as a school psychologist for Cherry Creek Schools, was the associate director of the Gifted Child Development Center and currently is a counselor specializing in counseling high achieving children and their families.
