Girl, 5, dies when trapped by equipment
MESA, Colo. ” The Mesa County coroner’s office says a five-year-old girl died from asphyxiation after she was trapped under a piece of heavy equipment.
Authorities say Natalie Himes was hanging on the equipment on her parents’ property on Tuesday when part of it fell on her.
Authorities say Natalie’s father had been with her but went indoors momentarily when the girl was trapped.
The type of equipment hasn’t been made public.
Emergency personnel were called but were unable to save the girl.

Chief Deputy Coroner Rob Kurtzman ruled Friday the death was accidental.
