Global Well-Being Movement brings free activites, classes and lectures to Westin Riverfront

AVON — In celebration of Westin’s new global Well-Being Movement, The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa at Beaver Creek Mountain is hosting a week-long series of free group exercise classes, lectures, guided meditations and more starting today — which has been declared “International Happiness & Well-Being Day” by the United Nations.

“We are dedicated to making sure that all of our guests feel better when they leave than they did when they arrive, which is why we offer more than 80 group exercise classes each week,” said Westin Riverfront general manager Jeff Burrell. “We are excited to bring this fitness and well-being celebration to the Vail Valley.”

All classes are free and open to the public. The Westin Riverfront’s Well-Being Movement schedule is as follows:

Thursday — FEEL WELL

Free chair massage: 9 to 11 a.m., 1 to 2 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. — Athletic Club foyer.

Move & Groove class: 12 to 1 p.m. — Movement studio.

Heart-opening yoga: 4 to 5:00 p.m. — Yoga studio.

Laughing yoga: 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. — Yoga studio.

Friday — PLAY WELL

Fitness Through the Ages — Special class celebrating fitness trends from the past 50 years: 12 – 1 p.m. and 5 to 6 p.m. — Movement studio.

Spin Scan demo and enjoy a free beer 5 to 6 p.m. — Cycling studio.

Saturday — SLEEP WELL

Restorative yoga: 4 to 5 p.m. — Yoga studio.

Complimentary hot tea: 6 to 8 p.m. — Hotel lobby.

Monday, March 24 — EAT WELL

Boost your energy with seasonal eating 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. — The Lift Cafe.

Tuesday, March 25 — WORK WELL

Guided meditation class: 7:45 to 8:15 a.m. — Yoga studio.

Virtual guided meditation — live podcast: 2 to 2:30 p.m. — From your desktop.

Wednesday, March 26 — MOVE WELL

Pilates Reformer class: 12 to 1 p.m. — Pilates studio.

Pilates mat Ccass: 4 to 5 p.m. — Movement studio.

Howard Head movement lecture: 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. — Movement studio.
