Goin to the Chapel … Again! in Beaver Creek
BEAVER CREEK, Colorado The third annual Goin to the ChapelAgain! a heavenly musical revue will be presented on Sunday evening at the Beaver Creek Chapel. The cocktail party and show is a benefit for the Beaver Creek Chapel and is sponsored by the Beaver Creek Religious Foundation. There will be wine and hors doerves served on the deck starting at 7 p.m. with the show beginning at 7:45 p.m. The theme for this years show is My Favorite Things, and each performer will sing some of their favorite songs. The show last year was so wonderful and the whole event so successful that weve brought back the talents of Maxine Graboyes, Don Watson and Beth Swearingen joined by our two special guests from Broadway, Jodie Langel and Kim Steiner, again this year, said Patti Brave, vice president of the Beaver Creek Religious Foundation. We look forward to another spectacular evening.Graboyes, a local voice teacher, said the event is a chance to celebrate the valleys interfaith community, as well as see Broadway talent on stage. There will be three generations of Broadway performers in the show as well, Graboyes said. I was in Sound of Music in the early 60s, Beth Swearingen appeared in Cats, Jerome Robbins Broadway and other shows in the 80s before moving to Vail, and Jodie is still working in New York and getting ready to open in a new show off-Broadway in the fall. Don Watson has been busy writing a new show, Monk & Elsie and will be previewing one of the songs from it.Last years concert was a huge success and we are so happy to have Jodie Langel, who was Cosette on Broadway in Les Miz, as well as her husband, Kim Steiner, musical director for I Love You, Youre Perfect, Now Change joining us again, Graboyes said.To purchase tickets in advance, call 970-471-3117 or e-mail Eileen Jacobs at email@example.com.
