Golden Bear moving up the street
VAIL, Colorado – One of Vail’s most iconic retailers will move from one premier location to another, just a few steps away, the owner announced Monday.
Vail’s Golden Bear will be moving from its current Vail Village location to the Sitzmark, just up Gore Creek Drive. They’ll stay where they are through the summer and the new space is remodeled, said Kristen Busse, Golden Bear owner.
“We’re really excited about the move. We’ve been given the opportunity to be in Vail and we’re thrilled about that,” Busse said.
They’re also happy about being in the Sitzmark, Busse said. It’s also home to The Left Bank restaurant.
“It’s a good fit for us,” Busse said. “We’re excited to be part of everything being done to make that corner a hopping part of town.”
The timing is right. The move coincides with the end of their current lease, Busse said.
The foundation of the store’s product line will still be the classic Golden Bear jewelry and all the accessories that go with it, Busse said.
“We’re expanding with more Golden Bear product, additions to the classic bear line,” Busse said.
The grand opening in the new Sitzmark location is set for mid-November, Busse said.
