VAIL VALLEY, Colorado – Several Republicans running for state offices will speak to the Vail Valley 9.12 Project at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Avon Public Library.

The speakers include:

• Bob Brancato and Stephen Bailey, candidates running for the Republican nomination to challenge Democrat Jared Polis for the House of Representatives.

• Ken Buck, who is running against Tom Wiens and Cleve Tidwell for the GOP nomination for the U.S. Senate.

• Ali Hasan, a Beaver Creek resident, and Walker Stapleton, who are running for state treasurer. Another candidate, J. J. Ament, has been invited.

Organizer Dr. Michael Schneider said the Vail Valley 9.12 Project is a grassroots organization for those who want less government and are concerned about the direction in which the president and Congress are taking the country.

“We are ready to organize to bring in a Congress that understands and believes in the Constitution, Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights, he said.
