GOP shootout planned for Sunday

Daily Staff Reports
Vail CO, Colorado

WOLCOTT ” Muhammad Ali Hasan will be hosting a Shootout to benefit the Eagle County Republican Party on Sunday, Sept. 16, at Lazy J Ranch in Wolcott.

“The Republicans here in Eagle have done a tremendous job of energizing the base and I’m proud to support them,” said Hasan. “I trust people like Chair Randy Milhoan and Treasurer Jennifer Woolley, and I’m proud to invest my political capital with them instead of the RNC at this time.”

Hasan has advised many Republican candidates, as well as the Republican National Committee, on issues involving Islam and America. He currently serves as a political commentator for BBC Radio and Fox News.

When asked of his involvement in local politics, Hasan explains, “Billionaires like Pat Stryker, Jared Polis, and Tim Gill are funding many Democrats at the state level and it’s killing our party. This is my way of responding. Our county parties have done the best job of energizing our base and we need to support them.”

The Eagle Shootout will include clay shooting, a barbeque activities and an auction. The shootout costs $20 per person and children are free. For more information and to RSVP, please e-mail ShootingParty@mac.com or call 970-343-2979.
