Gore Creek stretch reopens to boaters
VAIL — Gore Creek has reopened for boating thanks to the near-completion of repairs to the Covered Bridge in Vail Village. A portion of the creek between the Pulis Bridge at the intersection of South Frontage Road and Vail Valley Drive, west to the Covered Bridge had been temporarily closed since April 23 due to safety hazards associated with the bridge repair project.
Vail’s Covered Bridge has been closed since April 20 to allow for structure repairs and routine maintenance. The bridge is now open to pedestrian traffic while the contractor finishes the remaining minor work.
