Goss resigns as Colorado gubernatorial candidate
DENVER – Benjamin Goss has submitted his resignation letter as the American Constitution Party’s candidate for governor.
Goss is stepping down to make way for former GOP congressman Tom Tancredo, who plans to run on the party’s ticket.
In a letter addressed to his party’s chairman, executive committee and party members, Goss says these are trying times and the party needs Tancredo.
Tancredo says he believes Republican candidates Scott McInnis and Dan Maes have no chance of beating Democrat John Hickenlooper in November.
The next step is for Tancredo to register with the party and for the party to form a vacancy committee to pick a new candidate for the November election.
