Government council chooses new director

SILVERTHORNE, Colorado – The Northwest Colorado Council of Governments board of directors has chosen Pamela S. Caskie as its new executive director.
She took over the position July 1. Caskie most recently served as city manager of Alliance, Neb. During her time in Alliance, Pam led a management team in several successful projects including a program to jump start a depressed housing market, the development of a $5 million museum, and a major water system upgrade. Caskie has served as manager for both the towns of Ambridge and Stroudsburg in Pennsylvania, as well as Brandon, Vt.
Caskie will spend the summer visiting member jurisdictions. She has set a goal of meeting with every member jurisdiction before the Aug. 26 strategic planning session in Kremmling.
Northwest Colorado Council of Governments is a voluntary association of county and municipal governments in a five-county region that includes Eagle County, Grand County, Jackson County, Pitkin County and Summit County as well as the town of Carbondale and the cities of Steamboat Springs and Glenwood Springs.
