Government offices in Eagle County to close for holiday

VAIL, Colorado – Most Town of Vail municipal offices will be closed on Dec. 24 and Dec. 31 in observance of Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. However, the front counter of the Vail Police Department will remain open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on both days.
The town of Vail Public Library will have reduced hours, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., on Dec. 24 and Dec. 31; closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Regular weekend operating hours will resume on Dec. 26 and Jan. 2 when the library will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Transit services will operate uninterrupted throughout the holiday season. Call 911 for police, fire or medical emergencies.
VAIL, Colorado – The Vail Recreation District offices and departments will be closed as follows for the holidays:
VRD administration office will be closed Dec. 24-26. Regular office hours will resume Dec. 28. The administration office also will be closed Dec. 31 and Jan. 3, with regular hours resuming Jan. 4.
Vail Gymnastics Center is closed until Jan. 3.
Dobson Ice Arena will be closed Dec. 25. Public skating hours are limited through Dec. 29. Call 970-479-2271 for hours.
Youth Services, including the Imagination Station, will be closed Dec. 25-26 and Jan. 1-2. The Imagination Station will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Dec. 21-23 and Dec. 27-30 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 24 and Jan. 31. Call 970-479-2292 for details.
Sports leagues and open gym programs are canceled Dec. 24-26 and Dec. 31 through Jan. 2.
The Vail Nordic Center will remain open during the holidays, with the exception of Dec. 25, when it will close at 3 p.m
VAIL, Colorado – Eagle River Water and Sanitation District administrative offices will be closed on Dec. 24 and Dec. 31. The closures include administrative functions, billing, and customer service.
Customers may use the payment drop box at the Vail office to make a payment after 5 p.m. Thursday and throughout the weekend.
District offices will resume normal business hours on each Monday following the holiday weekend – Dec. 27 and Jan. 3.
