Grammy-nominated Bluegrass rolls into the Vilar Center

BEAVER CREEK – Bluegrass legend Doyle Lawson and his band Quicksilver bring a little bit of Appalachia to the heart of Beaver Creek Feb. 15 at the Vilar Center. Back in the late ’70s, Lawson single-handedly brought harmony singing back into the bluegrass spotlight with his band, Quicksilver. “Lawson is one of the key innovators in bluegrass history – offering a new kind of bluegrass gospel music, unprecedented at the time and unsurpassed since,” writes The Washington Post. Headlining major bluegrass festivals throughout the United States, the Grammy-nominated group is known for its sound rooted in gospel music.
