Grand Canyon: Cops hunt carjacking suspects
GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK, Ariz. – A manhunt continues at Grand Canyon National Park’s South Rim for two carjacking suspects.
Thirty-six-year-old Travis N. “T-Bo” Twiggs and 38-year-old Willard “Will” Twiggs are accused of stealing a car at gunpoint from two people Monday night near Lipan Point.
The National Park Service believes the suspects took the car after crashing their own vehicle inside the park some three hours earlier.
A late spring snowstorm is hampering efforts to find the men, as well as the stolen 2008 white Dodge Caliber 4-door hatchback, bearing Arizona license plate 606RFC.
Rangers, Arizona Department of Public Safety officers and Coconino County sheriff’s deputies are involved in the search.
