Grand Junction students report gunmen on playground

GRAND JUNCTION, Colorado ” Mesa County sheriff’s deputies say some students at a Grand Junction grade school reported they were threatened on the playground by two young men with guns.

Several children at Lincoln Orchard Mesa Elementary School reported the gunmen to a teacher on Monday. They described the men as being between 14 and 25 years old.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Heather Benjamin says deputies went to the school but found no sign of the men.

Benjamin says deputies had no indication the students were lying.
