Grand Junction woman run over by pickup ID’d
GRAND JUNCTION, Colorado – A woman killed when she was run over by a pickup in front of her apartment complex this week is being identified as a 49-year-old Grand Junction resident.
Authorities say Paivi Hopson died about 5:30 a.m. Monday after the pickup struck her.
Police found an injured woman when they arrived at the scene, and emergency medical personnel attempted to resuscitate her.
She died before she could be transported to a hospital.
The Mesa County Coroner’s Office says Hopson died of multiple injuries, and has ruled her death an accident.
Grand Junction police say the incident remains under investigation.
