Grant Family Farms hosts informational meeting in Edwards
EDWARDS -On Monday, Grant Family Farms will host a community meeting for folks interested in learning more about the farm’s community supported agriculture program. The meeting is at 5:30 p.m. at 137 Main Street, Unit 201 (look for Ptarmigan Sports – the meeting location is in the same building, on the second floor). Grant Family Farms currently runs the largest community supported agriculture program in Colorado, with more than 4,500 members. Fresh, organic vegetables are one of the program’s most popular summer shares. In 2011, the farm expects to deliver farm-fresh, organic, seasonal vegetables to more than 6,000 families in Colorado and Wyoming. At the meeting, you will learn how easy it is to eat seasonally, benefit your local economy, fix your food costs, and boost your health by becoming a part of Grant Family Farms. As a member of the Grant Family Farms CSA program, you will receive weekly deliveries of organic vegetables, fruit, eggs, bread, cheese, mushrooms and even pastured, organically raised meats to a mountain pick-up location near you.
