WOLCOTT — Tyler Grant, an alumnus of Emmitt-Nershi Band and Drew Emmitt Band, brings his Boulder band Grant Farm to the Wolcott Yacht Club tonight to kick off the first FAC of the season.

Live music at the Wolcott Yacht Club continues throughout the weekend. David Starr performs on Saturday night from 6 to 9 p.m., and on Sunday morning, Coral Creek with Luke Bella will perform from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for brunch.

Grant Farm is returning to the area after a rocking set at Campout for the Cause last month. They have been regulars at the festivals and clubs around Eagle County like WinterWonderGrass, Campout for the Cause, Shakedown Bar and Vail Ale House.

Band leader and guitarist Grant is the 2008 National Flatpicking Champion, 2009 Merlefest Doc Watson Guitar Champion and is one of the most respected guitarists in the scene today. He played with Drew Emmitt Band from 2005-2010 and Emmitt-Nershi Band from 2007-2010.

Grant Farm’s recent full-length release, “Plowin’ Time,” reached No. 2 on the JamBand Radio Charts and charted on Americana Radio as well.

Grant Farm is the host band of the “Meeting on the Mountain Live Broadcast,” a one-hour radio style show that takes place in Denver. The most recent episode is at http://www.meeting onthemountain.com.
