Gravity-defying acrobatics in Beaver Creek

VAIL, Colorado –Performers with the International troupe Cirque Le Masque will bring their family entertainment and gravity-defying acrobatics to the stage for two performances at the Vilar Performing Arts Center (VPAC) in Beaver Creek Sunday. Shows are set for 4:30 and 7:30 p.m.

Cirque Le Masque’s “Evolution” show features an international cast of 18 aerial artists, acrobats and gymnasts performing feats of balance, strength and agility. The show is choreographed to imaginative music. The visual adventure is set to music selected from popular classical composers, and arranged to reflect an international appeal.

“Evolution” is Cirque Le Masque’s newest show and includes aerialists suspended from 25 feet in the air, a family of hand balancers painted fully in silver, and a full cast of characters. The production has toured in cities around the world including: Paris, Athens, Las Vegas and Atlantic City, most recently headlining the International Circus Festival in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The troupe is firmly rooted in the timeless circus traditions of Russia, China and Eastern European. Cirque Le Masque’s performers have been hand-picked from around the globe for their abilities and precision skills.

Tickets for Cirque Le Masque “Evolution” are $45 for children and $65 for adults and are available online at, by calling 888-920-ARTS(2787) or in person at the box office in Beaver Creek. Children’s tickets are not available online and must be purchased in person or by calling the box office.
