Great use of words, Vail Daily columnist Linda Stamper Boyne
Vail, CO, Colorado
Dear Linda Stamper Boyne: My husband and I love your column and last week’s (“Choice Words to Chew On”) was the best ever. I love words, too. I appreciate Barack Obama because he is so articulate and I think he could probably use lots of “big” words, too, but he has to keep it simple. I like the word “callipygous” which means “having shapely buttocks” from the Greek “kalli” meaning good or beautiful and “pygos” meaning buttocks. So the next time you and your girlfriends see a guy with nice buns you can comment on it with a good chance that he won’t know what you are talking about.
