Greater Eagle fire holds board election

EAGLE, Colorado –Tuesday is special district election day, but most of the entities in Eagle County failed to attract enough candidates to feature contested races.

One exception is the Greater Eagle Fire Protection District where four candidates are vying for three, four-year terms on the board of directors. The candidates are:

• Roby Forsyth – an incumbent board member, Forsyth is employed by Eagle River Water and Sanitation District.

• Nathan Nelson – an incumbent board member, Nelson is employed by Colorado Business Bank.

• Michael Trujillo – a newcomer to the board, Trujillo is employed by Colorado Mountain College.

• Georgie Zinda – a newcomer to the board, Zinda is retired.

Also on the ballot is Christopher Dick, the sole candidate for a two-year term on the fire district board.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. May 4 at the Eagle Fire Station, located at 425 East Third Street in Eagle. For additional information call 328-7244.
