Green Drinks at the Bully Ranch in Vail

Nevada Lee | Special to the Vail Daily

VAIL, Colorado –Green Drinks will be held Thursday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Bully Ranch inside the Sonnenalp in Vail.

Green Drinks is an international grass roots event for people who care about a sustainable future. It’s a space where sustainable peoples, business owners, government officials and ordinary folk can mingle and talk about ideas over drinks. Green Drinks is an organic event, spawned from the minds of many. It has no rules or regulations, although we do try to emphasis specific topics, showcase environmentally sensitive businesses and ingest only the finest local food and beverages, everything else is open.

This month organizers are bringing the sustainable conversation to the next level with a local business that has their thumb directly on the pulse. Eco Limo of Vail will be on hand to discuss the advantages/disadvantages of the hybrid vehicle as it pertains to local transportation.

Oorganizers will discuss sustainable transportation and what it means for our community and the environment. Sonnenalp will provide complimentary appetizers to include steamed pork buns, sliced flat-iron steak with kimichi puree and grilled scallion and lettuce wraps and mini buffalo burgers with blue cheese butter. Drink specials will include Fat Tire and Steamworks for $3 a pint and Two Rivers Chardonnay and Merlot for $5 and $7.50 respectively.

As always, event organizers will raffle prizes for members of the Alliance who attend the event. Rumor has it you could win dinner for two at the Bully Ranch (drinks not included) along with a couple other prizes for the runner ups. There will be games, conversation, music and oh yeah, some drinking too!
