Gypsum brothers accused of selling cocaine

GYPSUM, Colorado ” Two Gypsum brothers were arrested on suspicion of selling cocaine Thursday, the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office said.

David Esparza, 20, and Jairo Esparza, 23, were arrested as a part of a three-month undercover drug investigation, the Sheriff’s Office said.

“The people they sold it to were part of the undercover investigation,” said Shannon Cordingly, spokeswoman for the Sheriff’s Office.

David Esparza was arrested on suspicion of sale and possession of cocaine and for selling an imitation meant to pass as cocaine, both felonies.

Jairo Esparza was arrested on suspicion of possession and distribution of cocaine and parole violation, both felonies. Jairo Esparza is a registered sex offender, Cordingly said.
