Special to the DailyFive people suffered minor injuries in a head-on collision Tuesday afternoon that temporarily blocked traffic on U.S. Highway 6 just west of Gypsum. An 18-year-old Gypsum woman was driving this 1995 Subaru station wagon west on the highway when she attempted to turn left into a campground. While turning, her vehicle collided with an eastbound Chevy truck driven by a Michigan man, according the Colorado State Patrol. The woman and two unidentified passengers were taken to Valley View Medical Center in Glenwood Springs. Another unidentified passenger in the station wagon was taken to Vail Valley Medical Center. All involved suffered minor injuries, said state patrol Sgt. Mark Mason, adding the woman will likely be ticketed for turning left in front of traffic.
