Gypsum man arrested on cocaine charges

GYPSUM “-An illegal immigrant faces several felony charges after Eagle County Drug Task Force detectives searched his Gypsum home Wednesday and allegedly found cocaine and forged documents.
Following a complaint from a neighbor concerning drug activity at the Holy Cross Village apartments, detectives and a K-9 unit found 6 grams of cocaine packaged for sale hidden in 39-year-old Ivan Trejo’s apartment, police said. Detectives also found fake identification cards, police said.
Trejo was arrested and charged with distribution of cocaine, possession of cocaine and possession of forged instruments.
The Eagle County Sheriff’s Office said Trejo is illegally living in the country and it contacted Immigrations and Customs Enforcement.
Trejo is being held on $50,000 bond.
