Gypsum store burglarized

GYPSUM, Colorado ” Someone broke a glass window at the Stop N Save in Gypsum and ran off with a bag containing $1,000 in cigarettes late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning, the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office says.

Surveillance video captured a slender person wearing a dark hood, a light-colored Carhartt jacket, green pants or blue jeans, and dark tennis-type shoes with white on the soles, the Sheriff’s Office says.



Sheriff’s deputies got to store, at 101 Oak Ridge Court, around 2 a.m. Investigators collected fingerprints and other physical evidence from the store, the Sheriff’s Office says.

Sheriff’s investigators want to talk to anyone who noticed suspicious activity around the store between 10 p.m., Wednesday and 2 a.m., Thursday. Anyone with that or any other information can earn up to a $1,000 reward and remain anonymous by calling Eagle County Crime Stoppers at 970-328-7007, 1-800-972-TIPS, or by submitting your tip online at http://www.tipsubmit.com.
