Half of Colorado voters have already voted
DENVER, Colorado – The commercials and stump speeches keep coming but they’re too late for more than half of Colorado’s voters.
The secretary of state’s office says 1.8 million people have voted as of Friday, the last day for early voting. Fifty-six percent of the state’s 2.6 million active voters have either voted by mail-in ballot or took advantage of two weeks of early voting.
The polls won’t re-open again until Tuesday.
All mail-in ballots must be received ” not just postmarked ” by 7 p.m. on Election Day. Election officials are advising people who haven’t returned mail-in ballots to drop their completed ballots off in person at the polls.
