Harpist plays at library’s holiday open house
The Eagle Public Library will host its fifth annual Holiday Open House tonight 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Patrons are invited to join in a festive evening that will include holiday stories, refreshments, craft projects and a photo opportunity with Santa Claus.
Patricia Croke, a harpist, will be the featured musical performer. Croke is the principal harpist with the Colorado Springs Symphony and has also performed with the Denver Symphony, Pueblo Symphony and the Colorado Springs Symphony Liberace Tour. She has also performed as a featured harpist at leading hotels and supper clubs in Colorado, Arizona, Kansas, Missouri and Wisconsin.
Locally, Croke’s music was featured at President Ford’s World Forum in Vail and Beaver Creek; and she has played at masses in Vail, Beaver Creek and Eagle.
In addition to performing, Croke is a harp instructor, lecturer and soloist at Colorado College. Aside from her musical skills, Croke is also a figure skater and holds several titles in both team and single skating.
Her program at the library will feature seasonal music.
Library patrons of all ages are invited to attend this very special community celebration.
