Harvard a cappella group mat the Sonnenalp Resort Saturday night
VAIL – With a cappella vocals as impressive as their grade point averages, Harvard College’s Din and Tonics will perform at the Sonnenalp Resort of Vail Saturday and Monday from 7:15-8 p.m.
Jazz classics, gospel and calypso delivered with humorous choreography will be on the bill when the Din and Tonics perform free of charge in the King’s Club and for dinner guests at Ludwig’s. With a musical style described as “a cappella with a twist,” the Din and Tonics have been praised by numerous dignitaries and musicians, including Ella Fitzgerald who wrote, “Not only were you entertaining and witty, but I was very impressed with your vocal skills and musicianship.”
Established in l979, the Din and Tonics grew out of an all-male a cappella group founded in Harvard during the 1940s. Today, they perform nearly l50 concerts a year around the world.
Reservations are not required for the King’s Club performances. For show times and dinner reservations to Ludwig’s, call the Sonnenalp Resort concierge at 479-5429.
