Haymaker Trail closed due to mountain lion activity around dead deer
Trail closure signs will be removed when the trail is reopened.
The town of Eagle announced Monday afternoon that the Haymaker Trail has been temporarily closed for human safety concerns.
A dead deer is in close proximity to the trail, and there has been evidence of mountain lion activity around the kill. Trail closed signs and fencing have been installed near the trailhead.
They will be removed when the trail is reopened.
With a key water deal denied, the Battle Mountain developer and the town of Minturn are planning to meet next week to discuss the future of the Bolts Lake property.
