Daily Staff Report
Vail CO, Colorado

VAIL, Colorado ” The Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival presents an evening of music and conversation with The Miami String Quartet as part of their Casual Classics series.

This complimentary performance, hosted by Bravo’s artistic director Eugenia Zukerman, will be held at 7 p.m. at the Gypsum Town Hall. It is part of Bravo’s “Music Matters” program, which provides free educational activities for children and adults in the Vail Valley and surrounding areas.

“It’s a wonderful opportunity for people in Gypsum to hear world class musicians right in their own community,” said Liz Campbell, director of education for the Bravo! Vail Valley Music Festival.

The Miami String Quartet was recently praised in The New York Times as having “everything one wants in a quartet: a rich, precisely balanced sound, a broad coloristic palette, real unity of interpretive purpose and seemingly unflagging energy.”

The Miami String Quartet has quickly established its place among the most widely-respected quartets in America. Their diversity in programming, poise in performance, keen sense of ensemble and impeccable musicality has made the Miami String Quartet one of the most sought-after quartets in chamber music today.
