Heide named director of land trust

EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado ” Kara Heide has been named executive director of the Eagle Valley Land Trust.
Heide will oversee land trust operations including fundraising, marketing, finance and community relations.
Heide worked for Vail Resorts for 32 years, dealing with philanthropy and government affairs.
“Her diverse experience as a tireless community advocate will be an invaluable asset in future endeavors to protect and preserve our unique Western heritage,” the land trust said in a press release.
The Eagle Valley Land Trust serves Eagle County residents through its mission “to preserve forever scenic vistas, open space, historic lands, waterways and wildlife habitat that represent the uniqueness of Eagle County for the enjoyment, education and benefit of all who live in and visit this special place.” The land trust has been successful in protecting both legacy ranch properties and open space located in our towns.
