My name is Zoie Liotta and I am 16 years old, and I have been living in the Vail Valley my entire life. For the past three years, I have been playing in the summer tournaments put on by the Vail Valley Junior Golf Association. My time on the golf course has been a wonderful learning experience for me. I have learned to love and appreciate the game of golf as I continue to spend more time on the course. I have built valuable friendships that will last on and off the course. On July 15, 2002, I accomplished something that most people wait their entire life for, a hole in one. I was honored to complete this achievement in a summer golf tournament hosted by the Vail Valley Junior Golf Association. This summer I would like to change my role, and become a mentor to younger children on and off the course. I want to continue to play in the tournaments this summer, and therefore I ask if by helping out with younger golfers my tuition would be paid for by the association. I have tutored younger children since I began attending Vail Mountain School, and I have enjoyed watching the children grow as individuals. I would like to be able to influence younger children, and hopefully help them achieve one of my greatest accomplishments, a hole in one.
In terms of area, it’s the county’s smallest conservation deal ever. In terms of location, it’s one of the county’s rarest acquisitions.
