VAIL – Jazz legend Herbie Hancock has been added to the concert lineup at the Vail Valley’s Vilar Center. Country star Randy Travis and guitarist Jonny Lang also are set to perform in Beaver Creek this summer.

Tickets for these shows go on sale May 27.

Herbie Hancock is brining his “Imagine Project” tour across the country in celebration of his 70th Birthday. He will perform in Beaver Creek on Aug. 25.

Travis makes his Vilar Center debut Aug. 9 and Lang returns to Beaver Creek July 22 as a part of his “Live… By Request” tour, which allows fans to log on to Lang’s Web site – jonnylang.com – and request songs for him to perform.

Already scheduled to perform at the Vilar Center this summer are Natalie Cole, a tribute show of classic rock with “The Music of ABBA,” singer/songwriter Mary Chapin Carpenter, bluesman Keb’ Mo’ and the debut of indie rocker Ani DiFranco. Tickets for these latter concerts are already on sale at http://www.vilarpac.org or 888-920-ARTS.

“Adding these shows to a slate that we were already so excited about has really qualified this season as our biggest summer to date,” said Vilar Center Executive Director Kris Sabel.
